Wide Open Equination.net Hershey Kiss Classic Field

Coming up this Sunday in Equination is the fifteenth annual running of the Hershey Kiss Classic (GII). The mile and a quarter race on the dirt is open to six-year-olds and upward. Held in memory of the first horse ever created in Equination, Hershey Kiss, the race offers a purse of $500,000. Here, we will take a look at the field of contenders.

Blue Titan Happiness MD received the Dirt Route-Runner award for last season after capturing the Equination.net Mile (GI) with a career-best 128 rating. His season so far has been less than exciting with a recent Allowance win with just a 109 rating. He looks like he could be running back to back off of that.

More Luck Please MDC is making his graded stake racing debut here. He holds a HRR of 126.5 from back in March and exits a 113.75 rated Allowance win. On the 24th he worked a half-mile with a 100.95 rating.

Habitual is also making his graded stake racing debut here. He earned his HRR of 127 back in February and ran second last time out in an Allowance race with a 113.4 rating. On the 24th he worked a half-mile from the gates with a 106.3 rating.

Equination.netMaximum Code MDm has competed in five graded stake races and has finished twelfth in the Equination.net Derby (GI), first in the Paramount Stakes (GI), thirteenth in the Equination.net Classic (GI), second in the Equination.net Mile and thirteenth in the Equination.net Mile. He has a HRR of 129.75 and is coming off of a 124 rated Listed Stake win. He had some turnout on the 22nd and then came back with a slow 92.2 rated half-mile breeze on the 26th.

Brenn mdsw has finished second in the Equination.net Hopeful (GII), fifth in the Silver Platter Stakes (GIII), fourth in the Equination.net Derby and ninth in the Paramount Stakes. Last time out he ran second in a Listed Stake with a 119.75 rating and he holds a HRR of 129.75 from October of last year. He looks like he will be running back to back here.

Mois Gift ran sixth in the Equination.net Derby, tenth in the Paramount Stakes and twelfth in the Equination.net Mile last season. Most recently he won an Allowance race with a 120.65 rating. He has trained again since but not with a workout.

Southwind Ricola finished fourteenth in The Debutante (GII) as a two-year-old. She has a HRR of 126.5 from back in May and exits a 118.5 rated Listed Stake win last time out. She will likely be running back to back here.

Cats Anecdote MD was tenth in the Paramount Stakes. He boasts a HRR of 127 and won a Listed Stake last time out with a 115 rating. He will likely be running back to back off of that.

Shot A Lady has finished third in the Equination.net Hopeful, first in the Silver Platter Stakes, eighth in the Turf Club Classic, third in the Runaway Mile and tenth in the Equination.net Mile. He boasts a HRR of 131.8 and ran second last time out with a 116.5 rating. On the 27th he worked three-eighths with a 99.25 rating.

Little Speakers is making her graded stake racing debut. She holds a HRR of 125.5 from three starts ago and exits a 112.25 rated Allowance win. On the 27th she worked a half-mile with a 106 rating.

Backtalk has finished third in the Equination.net Derby, fifth in the Paramount Stakes and second in the Turf Club Classic (GIII). He has a HRR of 126.8 from back in January and ran second last time out in an Allowance race with a 115.9 rating. On the 24th he worked a half-mile from the gates with a 104.5 rating.

Courage To Kill is starting in a graded stake for the first time. He earned his HRR of 129.5 back in April and exits a 121 rated Allowance win. On the 26th he worked a half-mile with a 100 rating.

Sweeping The Glass MD finished eleventh in the Silver Platter Stakes, second in the Runaway Mile (GIII) and seventh in the Equination.net Mile last season. She earned her HRR of 124 back in July and ran second last time out with a 109.5 rating. On the 24th she worked a half-mile from the gates with a 96.5 rating.

Mustard Is Golden was fifteenth in the Equination.net Derby and last in the Paramount Stakes. She holds a HRR of 123.8 from back in August and won an Allowance race last time out with a 111.8 rating. She worked a half-mile on the 16th with a 101.25 rating, received some turnout and then worked another half-mile on the 25th with a 108 rating.

Tip Tronic MD received the Dirt Route-Runner award two seasons ago and has won the Equination.net Mile and finished ninth in this race last season. He earned his HRR of 129.5 back in November and is off to a slow start this season, most recently finishing fourth in an Allowance race with a 102.5 rating. He has since posted two half-mile workouts with 105 ratings on the 23rd and 27th.

Easy Kiwi finished seventh in the Equination.net Derby and seventh in the Eq.net Japan Championship (GII). He boasts a HRR of 128 from back in March and won an Allowance race last time out with a 112.5 rating. On the 27th he covered a half-mile with a 101.5 rating.

Your Ashtray received the Three-Year-Old Female award back in the January to March season. She has finished tenth in The Debutante, first in the Equination.net Oaks (GI), second in the Sunshine Stakes (GII), sixteenth in The Daisy Cup (GII), and fourteenth in the Eq.net Japan Championship (GII). She earned her HRR of 124 in September and exits a slow 95.75 rated third-place finish in an Allowance race. On the 26th she worked a half-mile with a 98.75 rating.
