Tomorrow’s feature hurdle race at Newturf.com is the Lanzarote Hurdle which takes place over 1800m and is restricted to 2 year old horses of Grade A and below. Seven runners go to post and the ground is forecast to be good in which the top-rated horse, Vaillant de Céhème looks the most likely to land the spoils.
Owner, Menne, doesn’t keep too many early types in the yard these days but still manages to top the hurdle owners’ leaderboard and certainly knows what is required to win an event of this type. Not only is Vaillant de Céhème the highest rated horse in the field but also has the best form on offer. Twice placed in similar type events against what was probably stronger opposition, the Rubi Ball colt has what it takes to prevail here and is suggested as a win bet. He’ll be right at home on the good ground.
Another horse in the field with Golden Race form is Naomi de Bellouet. The Haras de la Boréalis owned filly could be the one to give the selection most to do and is one to consider for the forecast. She would probably fare better on softer ground but is a quality performer at this level and can go well.
