Take A Chance On Vanetta

Newturf

Another incredible day for the followers of Buzz tipsters as we successfully highlighted all three winners on the three race card from Newturf Virtual Racecourse on Tuesday evening, with these being the only recommended bets on the day. We have two races to look at for Wednesday evening, so let’s see if we can follow our treble with a double.

NewturfThe first race on the card is the Ramonti Derby (20:00 Newturf) which is a 1000m sprint with a field of fourteen runners. As usual for an event of this type, it is very competitive with a whole host of possibilities for the number one spot. Angel Patrivan has been in great form of late, winning four small races on the bounce. She is clearly in very good heart and must warrant respect but she has performed so well on the very soft ground that it might be worth opposing her in these very different conditions.

Super-fit Sea The Stars GLR has the blinkers on and while he may not be the quickest out of the stalls, you can expect this one to finish the race better than most and could go close. The two I like best of all though are Marbella de Retz and Vanetta du Tosc. The first-named is two wins from two attempts on firm going and has also performed with great merit on a less suitable surface. The first of those two wins came at the expense of Vanetta du Tosc with Carmenita, Effervescent and Ballerine D’Or further behind. The pair were stride for stride for much of that race but Marbella de Retz proved the more resolute in the closing stages. However, Vanetta du Tosc appears to be much closer to peak fitness now and with the blinkers on, is fancied to turn the tables this time.

Our second race, the Hatton’s Grace Hurdle (20:20 Newturf) looks a little more straightforward. Tour de Babel has already notched up seven wins in little races but has shown she can be effective at a higher level when runner-up in an RTC Qualifier on soft ground. However, Berylium de Muraille could be better still. Ideally suited by this very fast ground, he has been improving rapidly and has recently completed a four-timer in small races. On his most recent effort, he recorded a time faster than that of Tour de Babel under identical conditions and can take this on his way to better things. There is a possibility the odds could be a little skinny but he rates a confident selection.
