The Derby Classic Qualifier for 3yo Colts is arguably the strongest of all divisions of these top-tier races from Raceclubs and on Thursday evening the cream of the crop were out in force to produce some ultra-competitive action and a real treat for impartial onlookers.
The highlight of Wednesday evening’s racing at Raceclubs was the Ladbrokes sponsored Monthly League Challenge Qualifier which attracted a wide-open full-sized field of fourteen, six of which were making their racecourse debuts in this $100 added-money event.
Yesterday, at Raceclubs, we saw the older horses line up for the latest Challenge Series Qualifiers over the classic distances. Most of the participants have now had at least two or three qualifying runs under their belt and as a result we’re beginning to see the standings start to take shape.
Maroon Spirit, a lightly raced three year old colt, trained by price racing showed he has what it takes to compete at the highest level over the marathon 2850m trip in Wednesday’s St Leger Challenge Qualifier.
The action continues to come thick and fast over at Raceclubs and Tuesday evening was no exception. It was the turn of the older classic runners to show what they can do and as always these events were well-supported with the fillies’ race filling more than twice over.
