Chase Bloodstock is looking forward to an improved crop of yearlings this term, following what he describes as a disappointing batch last time.

“I’m interested to see how Acen (trotting) does. Its a sprint bred filly whose sire was born with 4 speed.

On the flat, China White, a half sister to Pearlysteps could be special, I hope. My only other early flat horse is Ivory Flake which is bred to be an early 2200/3000m horse. I have one other flat horse Anthem which is a 3yo star in waiting. I am also looking forward to Sacre D’Or my first home bred 10-10 whose mare was a HoF mare.

Pearlysteps has netted the owner close to €50 in earnings to date, represents the stable in today’s end of season final of the South American Derby and looks set to make a 3 year old too.
