This first round, restricted to horses registered to run in the Breeders&#8217; Cup traditionally draws smaller but high quality fields. Even so, nine runners went to post for the sprint in the flat category and Winning Ways looks capable of making her presence felt in later rounds.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.horseracingbuzz.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/Colors-1.jpg\" data-lightbox=\"gal[6561]\"><picture><source srcset=\"https:\/\/www.horseracingbuzz.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/Colors-1.webp \"  type=\"image\/webp\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.horseracingbuzz.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/Colors-1.jpg\" height=\"173\" width=\"197\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-6562 sp-no-webp\" alt=\"newturf.com\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Colors\"  > <\/picture><\/a>Java Juice, from the Barnes Stable ran a good second here and boosted the form later in the day by going one better in the 1600m event.
