Welcome to today’s features, futures and daily fixtures, 7th May 2011,
Well coming in to today off a massive win yesterday, I was hopeful of some really good racing. To greet me was rather disappointing for Golden Race standards.
So the pick of a bad bunch, we are off to the Ubu III Derby, its a full race of 12 hurdlers trying to go the classic distance of 2200m. The ground is firm and there is €30 up for grabs in sponsorship!
After spending way too much time with these, I have to pick Underworld d’Alba from stable Mad202, Great name!, and trained by Marco17…
Mad202 seems to be a very patient owner specializing in this discipline. He looks to bring Underworld d’Alba to this event in good form, well better form than others. The principle danger today comes from stable, Jibilo who is also a hurdling specialist! Ucare des haies is a 6yr old is an impressive stal who has shown some great form over the mile and especially over the firm ground.
It was a tough call today but;
My picks are;
- Underworld d’Alba more form to go off over this distance and going
- Ucare des haies great mile form and gets the going too
