Newturf Highlights – Team Buzz Xmas Derby

The english-speaking community at Newturf.com is starting to find its feet at last with a number of the Team Buzz members starting to hit the boards with some regularity.

A significant proportion of Team Buzz’s early success must be credited to the team’s first Canadian member, Ontario Racing who has single-handedly notched a remarkable tally of winners, his total exceeding forty first-place finishes in less than one full season in the game. Other multiple winners, including Barnes Stable, Chase Bloodstock and Phily0390 added notable points contributions which enabled the team to rank 21st in the Team Challenge – not too shabby when you consider that every team member is a first-season rookie. Team members Richard_Lee and Shelf_Side also managed to find their way into the winners’ enclosure.

Perhaps the feature event of the week for Team Buzz members was the Team Buzz Xmas Derby with added sponsorship generously contributed by team member, Ontario Racing.  Ontario Racing did his best to keep the purse from venturing too far from home, his Orfeu just failing to peg back narrow winner, Aioros Powa. The Barnes Stable seven year old colt held on to win by a neck. A fine effort from Calumet Farm’s Fleau De La Vega saw him also finish close up in third spot.
