It was the turn of the three year old stayers on Monday at Digiturf’s Australia turf track with the best of their generation looking to aqcuire points which would see them qualify for the end of season Championship races.
Friday at Digiturf was a chance to see the best of the three year old sprinters in action on the turf in Australia for the colts and on the dirt in America for the fillies, in the Triple Crown Sprint Qualifiers over 1200m. The ground was lively for both events.
Whilst they may not hold the same prestige and financial reward of the Grade One finals, these Grade Two races are the only races on the Grade Two calender which carry sponsorship and are always well supported and ultra competitve, often spawning many instances of each race.
Outstanding filly Perfect Sakura put up a remarkable performance to record her 37th career win in the Triple Crown Stayers Championship for 3yo fillies in what was the highlight of the third day in the Digiturf Championship Series.
Owner Chrisman achieved a remarkable feat on day one of the Digiturf end of season championship series by bagging no fewer than three of the six races.
